Make Your Own Slime

slimeIt’s a great time of year to make slime! I’m going into my daughter’s class this week to make slime with all the kids, and we’ll have four different options for the kids…an owl, a pumpkin, Frankenstein or a ghost! You can try these designs yourself or come up with your own. And a special “thank you” to my mom for providing this slime recipe. There are a lot of Borax-based slime recipes out there, but I find this one to be the most simple to understand and to do with kids.

Mixture A

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup Elmer’s white glue
  • Food coloring

Mixture B

  • 1 1/3 cup warm water
  • 4 teaspoons Borax

Mix Mixture A ingredients in a small container and set aside. Mix Mixture B ingredients in a larger container. Slowly pour Mixture A into Mixture B. Swirl contents around five or six times. Life out mix and knead for 2 to 3 minutes. Store in airtight container.
