A Poem About Summer

In honor of National Get Outdoors Day this weekend, I wanted to share a poem that my son, Jack, wrote for school (he’s 8). It’s not quite summer yet, technically, but it’s sure starting to feel like it. What makes you think of summer?

Summer taste like some nice fresh s’mores.

Summers looks like beautiful flowers.

Summer smells like delicious corn on the cob.

Summers sounds like fireworks on the 4th of July.

Summer feels like really hot air.
